Fossil Trails
The early morning sheds light on a place of rich history and promises a beautiful fall day at Dinosaur National Monument. It is named after the large fossil bed discovered here in 1909 by Earl Douglass. The Fremont and Shoshone tribes called this land home due to the Green and Yampa Rivers that provide much needed water in this dry place.
